Can anyone tell me what is a good smooth shock absorber for an 81 stepside shortbed with a 250 engine. When I bought this truck it had heavy duty springs all around. I'm also sure this truck at one time carried a camper and had a bigger engine. Now I have new stock springs front and rear, but still the truck feels rigid and not smooth. You feel every bump in the road. I was told that because it had the heavy duty stuff on it for so long that it will never be a smooth riding truck again. Is this true? Any advice would be appreciated.
