step tubes

    my step tubes are rusting. what can i do can i spray paint them?

    Are they black or chrome? Unfortunately these things don't last more than a couple years before you have to redo them.

    I had some powder coated ones and they had rust spots after the first winter. The wheels kicking up debris makes a chip and your done. I just sanded the damaged area and resprayed with Rustoleom every few months. They always looked new

    Have them sand blasted & then line-x them.

    I had chrome ones on my last truck and they rusted. On this truck I had stainless steel put on, and so far they are holding up pretty well.
    How old are they? Some of the steel ones had 5 yr. warranties on them...

    Easy,

    Are the ones you have the Mopar step bars?

    If so how much are they?

    I want to get stainless also if possible. Chrome and powder coated won't last long.
