Steel or Polyethylene moldboard?

  1. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the poly moldboard.

    Polly, requires no repainting. Snow doesn't stick as much or at all.

    However weighs more, isn't as strong as steel.

    Where polly shines in High Speed road plowing.

    One advantage of the steel moldboard over the poly one is that in the event of damage to the moldboard face itself steel is easier to repair.

    Yes, I know that in an "ideal" world there's no way the plow would sustain that sort of damage. Problem is, at least in my case, the "real" world is a little different............
