How are you getting a EIN with out a registered business?
Ie in most cases you have a business license first.
Then get a EIN as you go forward and hire employees.
As for the irs your SS# is all they need for ID,
    Untill you grow.

Your customers never need to know your EIN.

    Your business lic #
    And proof of insurance.

    I get a 1099 from a business, even without a EIN .
The cpa or business owner your doing business has been responsible with people's SS #
Its hard to get a ligit job without giving your SS#.

Not having it hasn't hurt me,
If you can't trust them , don't do business with them.

Your accountant and set up a LLC, you can set it up as a DBA which is very simple in all areas, banking, IRS, etc....

You need an accountant and a lawyer. Each state is a little different. See your paying fees and haven't made a dime yet.

Have you contacted an attorney? They can give you all the info for your state, with 100% accuracy.
