What could cause manual locking hubs to squeal when locked, generally when its warm. If its wet you can hardly here it. Does not matter if in 2h,4h or 4l. Dealer cannot sort it out.

I suspect the vehicle has been used off road. The hubs will get dry and full of dirt if not taken apart and cleaned and greased. My experience anyway.
    Hope this helps.

The hubs may have never been serviced/cleaned/greased in their life. The seals on the hubs may be dried out or broken letting water and dirt in. If stuff can leak out / stuff can also leak in. Some hubs, like external manual hubs have little roller bearing plates that could be dry as pop corn now. If it's the internal Warner hubs that Ford uses they take an Allen wrench to get them off. If you need Ford Drive line stuff try calling a truck parts supplier, they carry Spicer / Danna at about 1/2 the price of a Ford dealer!

If you wind up cleaning and re-doing the hubs, try a synthetic grease. It will make it much easier to turn them especially in the cold.
