    Hello all
Just picked up a nice spreader and it seems to be in good shape, but the starter is missing.

Any way of telling what model Briggs Fisher put on my spreader?
I looked everywhere for the nameplate/model no.
Seems to be missing,or I am missing it.
Could it be behind the engine against the hopper?
I can see a little between the hopper and engine, and I do not see a nameplate.

It is an 8.5HP B&S engine, on a maybe 8 year old spreader.
I have the ser# of the spreader.
I am trying to find a starter for the engine.

The engine serial plate most likely rusted of at rivets.
Is this the engine you have? This is the one on my older Fisher sander with 8.5 HP Briggs.

If this is the engine, use those engine numbers and go to briggs website and look up part # for the starter.

    Hope this helps!
