I have an 8ft Saltdogg SS spreader and the spinner shaft is seized within the pillow block bearing. I tried PB Blaster and Fluid Film but no luck. Can I heat the bearing with flame in an attempt to unseize it or are there better alternatives. This is the second time it has happened to me in 3 years. The lower half of the spinner shaft beneath the dog ear set screws is not stainless and corrodes so quickly along with the bearing.
