Can a motor driven hydraulic pump Speed Cast from a 1990 2500 GMC be put onto a 1998 GMC 2500 with a 5.7 Vortec?

    Thanks!

Pretty sure Fisher offered a smaller pump with a remote reservoir for the Vortec engines. Pretty busy in there, especially with AC. If you find one, let me know LOL.

I thought you had to have an electric pump with a Vortec.

    Thanks for the pics.

Anyone know the P/N for the pump bracket in that application?

FYI - the 8215 bracket is still available from Fisher.

So I picked up my bracket. Installing this does not look like fun.

DareDog looks like you shimmed out the bracket at the manifold to clear the PS pump and lifting bracket. Where did you tie the upper end of the bracket to?

Did you have to bend the PS lines also?

its not to bad at all. yes used a few washers/long bolts to miss the manifold, 1-2 washers between bracket and manifold. did not tie off the top, no need. works great !
