Good advice, although not all are junk. I purchased a brand new Nippo for my Cummins, and it's been good since day one... (until I go out to it tonight, that is :blush2:), and I brought the original one that was on there for 19 years to the rebuilder, and even though it was working fine, had him freshen it up...

Worth the extra $$ knowing I have a newbie on the shelf for that 4:00 am, covered in snow, alternator change..

Last thing on my shopping list this season is still on works. High amp output on low rpm alternator. I'm undecided between few providers. Anyone have any experience with Mean-Green?

Was that factory add-on package or did it yourself?

Dual Alt's are from the factory. 360 total amps available. The can swapped out for the factory 200's if needed.

Cheap insurance. Pay good money for a big alt and you'll be good for a long time. Sure that initial sticker shock gets you, but when your tk always starts and your volt gauge stays put you'll be happy.
