Solenoid or motor replacement?

    Hello all.

Newbie here. I have a 2002 F150 with a Western Suburbanite plow setup that is about 5 years old. The plow was working intermittently with clicking sounds coming out of the solenoid yet the plow did not move. I removed the solenoid, cleaned all the terminals and ground plate, reinstalled and now I just hear a clicking sound coming out of the motor and no sounds coming from the solenoid still with no plow movement. Any ideas what to do? Should I go ahead a start by replacing the solenoid? Any thoughts on this?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have a test light? If not go buy one then try something called troubleshooting. Its alot cheaper than just throwing parts at it.
