Solenoid clicks

    Plow worked fine last night, today the solenoid for the plow just clicks....does that mean its no good?..i tried cleaning most of the connections........cheers

    I cant tell you what is wrong, but when you hit your buttons you can here the solenoid clicking, check you wires on the plow.

    have same issue w/ mine plug everything in and fine if left alone... try to lift plow and solinoid clicks and running lights come on on the plow.. (no action of blade lifting no moter will even run ) head lights not turned on mind you... like the electrical is locked ... un plug the plow harness at this time and lights go out naturally and solinoid clicks again like it is unfroze or unstuck... tried a new solinoid and same exact thing.. this is the first time trying to run this truck this year.. ran like a top last season any help thankss

    Did you clean the power connections to your plow motor from the battery? It's been my experience that when a solenoid clicks but does not function there is a lack of current. That is, there's enough current to close the solenoid switch but not enough to drive the device the switch is supposed to supply current too.

    Make sure your power connections to the device are clean. That is, battery connections to your plow. I don't think you are getting enough current to run the pump motor.

    take hammer or something and TAP on the plow motor while someone runs it.
