SnowEx, a product division of TrynEx International, introduces the new SP-1575 Bulk Pro Spreader. Ideal for professional contractors who maintain roads, parking lots and driveways, the SP-1575 is designed to handle bulk materials, such as bulk (unbagged) salt, straight sand or sand/salt mixtures.

Built with a 5.25-cubic-foot capacity hopper, the SP-1575 features a simple two-stage auger system that assures a positive, steady feed of material to the spinner without the clogging and flow problems associated with other auger configurations. Additionally, the patented vibrator/inverted-“V” flow system further facilitate bulk material movement.

The SP-1575 is entirely electric powered — meaning no engines to fuel and no pulleys, sprockets, belts or chains to maintain. The patented, low-maintenance dual 12-volt electric drive/maximum torque transmission systems are completely sealed within a weather-resistant enclosure and the spreader connects to the vehicle with a heavy-duty non-combustible automotive style wiring harness.

As with the entire SnowEx line, the SP-1575 features a modular, powder-coated steel frame with a high-density, UV-protected poly material hopper. The poly construction eliminates the corrosion concerns and regular maintenance commonly associated with steel-built alternatives. Furthermore, the poly hopper is up to 40 percent lighter than similar capacity steel spreaders, freeing up vehicle payload and increasing gas mileage.

The innovative digital cab-mounted spinner/auger control allows for independent spinner speed and auger speed adjustment. By being able to adjust how fast material leaves the hopper and how fast the spinner propels it, virtually any application demand can be met while minimizing material waste. Spread width is infinitely variable up to 30 feet.

Two-inch receiver mount and three-point mount hitches are integrated into the SP-1575’s frame. Other standard features include a ¼-inch steel-rod constructed top screen and fitted lid cover.

All SnowEx spreaders include a two-year parts and labor warranty.

Does this spreader have the ability to be mounted to a swing away system, so your tailgate is accessible? Not the one that you have to drill into your bumper, but one that connects right to your hitch

No, SnowEx only offers it as a Pivot Mount where you drill through the bumper. The only ones that are available for the swing away you described are the SP575, SP375, and SP125/225. They probably don't offer it because of weight issues,

You can go up to the 1875 which holds a little more ice melter and it is available with a swing-away gate. I have two of them and they work great. You can load a pallet of ice melter right in the back of your truck without lifting a bag. Also, you have independent control of the material flow as well as the spinner speed from inside your cab.

And yes it does spread bulk material as well.

I have an 1875, which I am very pleased with it's performance. I replaced the bed rail mount system w/ the hitch receiver mount, which then fastens the top end w/ 2 straps to the bed hooks inside the bed. Parts are not cheap though, think I paid around $400 for the mount...the prices on other parts looks scary. I just tore mine down completely for cleaning, and will replace all hardware with stainless...mine is 3 years old and had to cut off most of the fasteners. All and all the inside parts were not too bad, but I sure wouldn't want to have to tear it down to replace something anytime close to needing it.

I do have a set-up as well that cold coffee speaks of. It works well also.
