I asked this question a couple seasons ago, interested to hear any new ideas and suggestions.

I don't move trucks unless mine breaks down, but in case I do need to swap, I am keeping a snowplowing kit. Duffel/ tool bag with the following items:

Jumper cables, chain/tow strap, ratchet straps, extra fluids, a simple tool kit, flashlight, pocket knife, zip ties, propane torch, flares, deicer spry, might be forgetting something..... The truck already has on it shovels, ice melt, 5 gallon bucket, scoop, triangles, fire extinguisher.

So, any other ideas? What do you keep on yours?

For sure tp. You also need a basic med kit for minor injuries, blanket, extra gloves, hats and an extra jacket. I also carry hand warmers to pass out to the guys and a couple pair of extra socks. Spare me the open toed sandal jokes please. I also carry a small tarp (just in case someone needs to lay on the ground in order to fix something on my truck so I can get rolling again. See how considerate I am). Of course an equalizer or two.

A couple of my clients have weapons policies prohibiting them from the property, so I would never carry a weapon with me.

How would they know unless you were forced to use it. And if I'm force to use it, I don't care what the customer thinks. That would be the least of my concerns.

Keep a baseball bat or something. More than 1 occasion I have been approached and even stopped on the road by crack heads trying to sell something they just stole. We had a factory next to the project it was bad you leave your truck to go to loader they would be all over it you would have to chase them away. Finally they fenced it in with wire. Looks like a prison.

I don't care. I follow all policies of my clients while on their property, and definitely don't keep a firearm in the vehicle.

Don't they require a FBI check on you at the airport. If you have a permit and all legal they still would not let you in?
