Hey, just got off the phone with distributor of Western parts here, I was quoted for a set of cutting edges for a v-plow $383.00. Phoned steel company here and inquired about 3/8" x 6" x 50" piece of plate steel. Was quoted $ 90.00 to cut the two pieces and drill out holes.
Here's what I don't know. Do the cutting edges sold by Western have carbide edges ?
The steel company said that what they quoted is mild steel A-36, will this work and last ?

    thanks

I had some made for a Blizzard 810. They made them out of AR 500 seem to be wearing much better then the factory ones and less then half the price. I say go for it what have you got to lose. Take them the old ones for a template.
