    I always waited to arrive at the location before filling the hopper on my 575 because I thought that going down the road the with the salter full the salt would slowly trickle out. Am I right or wrong on this.

    You'll lose some but I've found its a negligible amount, I fill mine ahead of time to save time when I'm out

    I use to fill it before I left and now I fill it at each account. I have a better idea of how many pounds I am spreading that way! It also feels good to get out of the truck, even if it is only for a minute or two!

    You wont loose much at all I do it all the time.

    i dont because it seems to settle in the hopper and i have to get out and spin the wheel to get it to spread. im using halite rock salt.

    i lose very little it keeps the salt in there pretty good
