I have just purchased a new 2012 GMC Reg Cab 8ft box for my son-in-law to plow with. Since he is new to this scene on commercial plowing and I don't want him in one of my domp trucks how would a Snow eX 1875 tailgate spreader be for him? Any issues or comments? The dealer is one mile from my home and 4 miles from any plowing sites.

    Thanks for any replies.
    Glenn.

I have been running a 10 year old 1875 for the past 2 years with no problems.

if you are going to run any type of bulk, a vibrator is necessary...I have ordered one for mine this year ...after a very bad night of learning what bridging is..... the hard way..lol

I love my Snowex 1875. You can see over the tailgate and still have the whole bed available. There are few moving parts and they are generally maintenance free. The only thing I have found is they have a bad habit of backing into stuff.
