I have a bobcat 743 and i am looking at getting a 72 inch snow bucket for it. Does this seem like a good size for this machine or could i go a bit bigger. Please let me know what you guys think and also what you are running on your skids. Thanks!

you can go bigger...we run a 953 and a newer 300 Series. have plow blades for both, push box for one, broom option for the other

My smaller bobcat is also a 743 . I have a 84" -1 yd snow bucket that works fine. I'd be a little careful if your lifting heavy snow.

    I had a 753 and used a 78" which worked well.

We used to have a 108" bucket for our S-160. It was still classified as a dirt bucket though I believe through Berlon. It handled like butter and you could really clear some snow with good tires

72" is what we have on our 743. You could use a 78" but no bigger. Like was said earlier, heavy snow or the wrong move with a full bucket in the air will face plant you into the door. You'll be able to move around better with the right size bucket.

I should add, we had a lot of weight stacked of the door for hauling bales off fields. It would lift three 860 pound bales very nicely.

I have a case 85xt and I run a 114" (9.5 foot) snow bucket. Works well for me.

That's because it's about twice the machine a 743 is.
