Just work a snow/ice event in Oklahoma and needing to put on a new cutting edge on my bucket. The main contractor said some of his crews were using a "ice bar" that would cut through the snow and ice. What is a ice bar and where do you buy them? He said it added about 1000 lbs to the bucket and kept it down and would allow the tires to stay on the ground. He did say the other machine was about a 6000 lb machine. We are running a 246 cat with a regular dirt bucket.
