    Hey all,
Just wanted to let you all know that SIMA's Build a Bid workshop is coming to Worcester, MA on July 28th and Columbus, OH on August 13th. Its a great chance to walk through one simple method of creating a bid for commercial snow, amongst a group of professional peers.

For more information check the program out here:
    http://sima.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=118

This is the third year we've offered this program, and overall the feedback has been very positive...the best thing is, its all snow specific! It includes tips and training related to:
    -Job costing/equipment costing
-Developing a burden rate and adding mark up or margin
-Sales techniques to help qualify leads
-Sales and negotiations role playing to learn more effective ways to present and negotiate bids/contracts

    Thanks!

Anyone have any feedback on past B.A.B workshops? I'm seriously considering attending, but I want it to be worth while driving from wisconsin

I'm sure it will be good if it costs 215$!

Everyone I've talked to says it well worth the time! After getting a dose of it at the SIMA symposium, I'm making it a priority to attend. Not sure if I'll drive or fly, but I'll be there.
You company is what you make of it. Why would you not invest in yourself?

It'd be nice if we'd all end up meeting each other!

I'm attending in Worcester. Just a few hours left on the count down! Unable to sleep, I've been up all night working on my camaro so I'll need to grab a good dose of coffee or something for the workshop today.

I was also curious to know if you attended the MA Build a Bid session. Thinking of attending the Ohio one, but having 8+ years in the snow/ice industry, I want to be sure it is not too "beginner" level before driving and spending the money to attend. It sounds extremely informative. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Casual I'm sure! I'll be wearing shorts if I make it. Sold my house Thursday so I don't know if I'll be able to make the drive.....
