side boards

    These side boards can really speed things up.

    Now to get them hydraulically run and I'll only have to get out of the tractor for my Tims tea.

    Simple and effective. Well done. Not sure I would count on those spindly little chains though. I think since the side folds flat against the plate welded to the moldboard, I would put a pin thru them instead.

    11 events so far and I've only broken the bolt on the side board twice. We thought about pinning it how you said but were worried about the board bending before the pin shearing. The chain seems to allow the board some give when filling with snow.
