    Hello,
On my 8' SHEP the motor has started making a noise side to side. I have been told it is the motor. How easy it to change the motor out and about how much are they? Do you have to get them from Fisher?
    Thank You

Hard to replace? No, remove power cable and revoe 2 bolts in the motor base flange, knock motor off.

Usually motors make more noise whan raising since it takes alot more effort to raise than it does to angle.

They run about $130 and can use a western or fisher motor. There are aftermarket motors out there and they are rebuildable.

If it is making more noise side to side, is the a pump problem? What kind of expensive am I looking at?

Guess we need to figure out what kind of noise, do you have some who can run the blade while you listen to the pump assy to try and pinpoint where exactly the noise is coming from? Dont want to send you on a wild spending binge on uneeded parts.
