Hey guys, I have read and can't find what I'm looking for. I am in the Cleveland Ohio area and I am trying to see what everyone charges as far as seasonal salt apps would be. I have it narrowed down on the plow side just need to see what you are at for seasonal salt app visits. I would really appreciate the help thanks.

I wouldn't salt on a seasonal basis either.
Never heard of anyone doing it.

around here its not that uncommon, you do it on your properties that have multi-year contracts and buy your salt in major quantities to get the lowest price. you also tend not to salt everything but the sidewalks handicaps and driving lanes.

if your comfortable with your business skills it shouldn't be a problem.

It happens in Michigan also, you just need to know how much salt is going to cost you times the average number of saltings. Also like posted above you will want a multi year contract.

is there a place or site i can find the average times out salting? I know for plowing its around 26, but for salting occasions, can't find a thing.

yes, its called experience. its also dependent on how your contract is written. you'll salt more than plow. lets say you plow 26 times, you'll probably end up salting around 40 or more. But again, it depends on your area and thats where experience plays in.

don't do seasonal if your a rookie, you need some data you've generated yourself to accurately bid seasonal.
