    Matt,
I know the optimus' blades will contour to the pavement. Is there anyway for it to scrape hardpack from a lot?

    Vince,
How did you get it to scrape? is there a "lock" on the blades to keep them from moving up and down? or do you have to tilt it forward or backwards?

In truth not really anything special. The optimus is quite heavy and has a very agressive cutting edge system. The angle of attack cuts very well and the trip springs are quite stiff. This in combination with some serious steel weight seemed to work very well. It cut through the hard pack at the mall like butter! All we did was run it tilted backward maybe 3 or 4 degrees. Ripped it up like peeling an orange.

For a more technical answer maybe Avalanche will chime in with how they designed it?
