I currently have an 1988 f250, and i'm looking to put in a v-box spreader. Would a 1.7 8ft vbox be too much for this truck? I was thinking about just putting in a yard of material at a time. I would consider a smaller one but i found a used one that the guy bought last season a barely used it for a good price. Any suggestions?

Make sure your F-250 is the Heavy Duty model, check the rear axles, they should be full floating.

You'll be overweight, but if you add helper springs from the F-350 and upgrade your tires, the truck should handle it OK.
