I was looking at the sand/salt spreader in the Canadian Tire Catalogue and was wondering if anyone had any experience with using one? Are they any good or do they constantly get plugged up? Can somebody tell me before I invest in one or should I just go ahead and buy one from Western?

    It's your call

Being a Snow-ex dealer, I find the buyers salters are like a silent salesman for me. Guys buy them and 2 weeks later come and buy a snow-ex or western because the other quit working. I have had a few guys that lucked out and got a season out of them.

Did you see the 15 gallon ones they have for the backs of ATV's? $199.00 I believe. I wouldn't imagine it would hold enough to justify loading it, probably faster to spread it by hand.
