I need advise from you guys. I have a few accounts that sometimes need sand and salt and I usually fill 5 gal buckets but I do not have anywhere to get it this year. I am in north central ct and am looking for an alternative that will work the same but not be to pricey or hard on the concrete. anyhelp will be greatly appreciated. Tedd

Kitty litter will work. You might also get bags of sand from the big orange box. Either masonry sand or play sand.

There are a few places around to get sand and salt, especially if you have access to a truck and dont mind a drive. You'd prolly only need 1 load as you say you don't need much. I've heard of the play sand and pea gravel, but they seem like theyd be ehhhh so so for traction aids, straight red can be had for like 40-50 a ton.
