Salting car dealerships

    Does anyone salt dealerships? Most around here plow there own if not all of them but we are salting for one that we take care of in the summer and have thought about others? anyone else have any luck with this? Any concerns?

    I used to work for one. Can't see it being easy or damage claim free............

    This is where liquid would shine! Have you thought about using liquid? Other than closing the flaps on a rock salt spreader your very limited. You could put a quick liquid system together for around 500 bucks.

    We are somewhat new to salting and as for liquid I know about nothing.

    A dealership isn't a great place to test anything. There could be a fair amount of liability issues.

    You may want to consider a drop salter in this application.

    This would be a good place for the "Hardy" drop spreader that is hydraulic that has a quick attach hitch that would allow you to use a skid loader or the front end loader attachment arms of a compact utiity tractor.

    The Hardy unit uses a low speed motor to meter out the material.

    The thing is you can buy and spread a lot of mason sand and concrete sand and not have any issues with corrosion.
