We can only purchase salt by the ton here so here it goes.

one ton is approx. 1Yrd my experience

according to fisher v box owners manual

    fine salt: 2,025Lbs. dry
    coarse salt: 1,431Lbs. dry

    a cubic Yrd. has 27 cubic Ft. 2,000Lbs divided by 27 =approx #75

one cubic Ft. = approx. 75Lbs.

HOPE THE MATH IS CORRECT, DON'T WANT TO LOOK A FOOL!!!

I usually figure about 68lb/cft for rock salt.
