Does anyone know of a supplier in the Buffalo area who supplies large volumes of salt?

Those are are retail prices. We buy direct from the docks in Toronto for $62.50 in 34-40 ton loads.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I always thought that we had different tonne's/ton's. Imperial/Metric and that is why there was such a huge price difference. We pay $80 a yard for salt, 98 a yard for Clearlane, which confuses things even more. Anyway, just what I always thought.

Salt is very costly in the Ottawa area. We just starting supplying salt in Ottawa and if you're interested I can give you a quote.

Our tonne is 10% bigger, then a ton. So at $33.50/ton, a tonne would cost $36.85, just in case you were wondering.

Winter chip is very small stone pieces......Its kind of like stonedust used for interlock, but without the dust! Basically the limestone rock is ground into small chip pieces. I dont use that product because it's not that effective & doesn't melt ice.
