    Hey Guys,

I am new to this site and have found it very helpful, thanks to everyone who seriously takes the time to help people out, its rare these days. I am looking for salt rates and how everyone comes up with salt bids. I have been plowing but had a sub doing my salting for me. Unfortunatly he is no longer with us and I dont have his calculations. I am looking for a formula to determine how much is needed per sq foot or acre. Also thoughts on magic salt vs rock salt? Thanks guys

Bud if you type "salt application rates" in the search you'll have days of reading on this. But I use 12-18 lbs per 1000 square or 500-800 lbs per acre for estimating purposes
