Hi guys, I have a simple question...I hope?
I need to hook up the controller for this spreader I just got...I recieved everything except a single red wire from the controller...install guide says,it goes to a fused 12v or ignition switch...no specs of what size fuse to use...can this be continuously hot? or does it need to be switched?...my spreader will not be mounted until the forecast calls for it...if it matters?
    Thanks in advance!

The small red wire is just detects if the vehicle is on (so your controller isn't on all the time). It draws <1A, so any ignition switched circuit will do (accessory, cigarette lighter, radio, etc.).

Thanks! Im hoping this solves my problem. I have all the wiring done but couldnt get the controller to power up...figured it had something to do with the lonely red wire
