salt application on brickwork

    heres the scoop....we have a contract to salt two streets in a gated community. a seperate company des the plowing if over 2". we have to blow/remove the snow below that and still salt. heres whats been happening, the other company uses a bobcat and cleans the snow but sometimes leaves packed snow on top the brick. we are using calcuim chloride or magnesuim chloride. the salt doesn't always clean down to brick, and we usually get yelled at for it. Would pre-treating these help them and us or is there another salt we can use? and help is appreciated!
