Anyone bothered replacing the saddle tanks? I am just curious after the most recent attention given to the tanks. I remember the previous attempts and warnings given years back. By no means do i plan on paying $300 for their replacement tank if i replaced it i was thinking more like a suburban tank underneath the bed. Personally I dont think they are much of a threat.

i replaced mine three years ago
jc whitney has metal $99 or plastic $149 a tank.
I looked into replacing with one larger tank (ie blazer)
and found the frame widths were different. It is probably the same with the suburban. so check it out before you buy.
I could find no substitute that would hold enough gas.
    hope this help
