Ok so apparently (before snowmobiles) they used to have what were called "Rutters".

They were 2 discs, much like on a farm cultvating disc. That would cut 2 tracks in the snow, in front of Ford Model A's and such.

I would like to find a pattern, to judge @ what angle they were mounted, to make a set.

I realize that I have to deal with more snow, and snowmobile tracks. but cleaning out 2 tracks before plowing would make things so much easier.

The drifts on the lake, this year are like cement, and without a Vee Plow I can do little for breaking a new road. With a little help, like 2-4 tracks down to the ice. I maybe able to plow the rest open.

So please help any oldtimers, that rember what I am talking about. I would like to make a set, and break some new roads.
