next week I am planning on undercoating my trucks (with ff) but I was wondering if anyone has sprayed the exterior of their trucks with ff to prevent rust?

I was thinking of spraying the exterior lightly and letting it sit for a day or so in the shop so the fluid film can penetrate, then washing the truck.

Will the ff cause damage to the paint? and will this method be effective or should I just use wax on the exterior?

Fluid Film will not harm the paint. I'd recommend spraying it on, letting it sit, and then rubbing it in like a wax.
