    :) What a money maker these things are.....
    Every Body in N NJ has bad ice dams on gutters.
    100.00 bux a house,4 men,4 rakes,lil ladder climbing(not much),
    re shovel the drive and steps a lil....on to the next 30 mins each homepayup

    I didn't get much info on your experience with this.
    If you're breaking ice, be carefull! Especially if you're uninsured. If those roofs leak in the spring, even if it's not your fault, you might have more headaches than $$$ can cure. I'd stay away from older roofs that need replacing. The shingles are brittle, cold makes it worse. There are homeowners out there who would love nothing more than a scapegoat to provide them with a freebie. You might want to suggest heating tape along the eaves to these people. Doesn't hurt your business and will prevent ice damage.
    You also didn't mention if your 4 guys are your employees. If not you could run into trouble there also. If everything is on the up-and-up good for you!
