Replacing Motor Cables

It looks like a I have a bad connection in the cables going to my Unimount motor.

So here's my plan: Replace them with two straight cables (basically a couple of ground straps). Bolt one end to the solenoid and one to the motor. The other one I'll bolt to the battery and the motor ground lug.

I only take the plow off once or twice a season, so it won't be a big hassle. It's only two bolts anyway. I figure this way there will be no chance of a bad connection.

    Anything wrong with this?

    Thanks.

No reason you can't do it.

It would only take a bit more work though to add a heavy duty connector (Anderson style) to the cables near the grill in order to disconnect the cables.
