replacing MM2 motor

    how does one go about changing the electric motor on a MM2?

    Unbolt it from the pump.Remove all your ground cables from the old motor,drain the fluid and remove the drain plug.Remove and discard plastic shipping retainer and metal retaining ring on motor shaft. Support armature with fiber thrust washer until motor is assembled to manifold.Align notch in motor housing with notch in manifold assembly.Make sure the Thick fiber washer is on the pump end.

    why drain fluid? no need to if just changing motor.

    my mistake I started writing how to change the pump out and never fixed it.

    wow that was a lot simpler thatn i thought i was going to be. disconnent +/- wires and unbolt the two 3/8" bolts on top. then lift up. install new one! plow works mint now! thanks guys!

    half hour, taking my time and looking things over. then topped of the fluid and works like a charm
