replacing brushes for motor

    anyone ever replace the brushes on the motor?
    i know everyone just replaces the motors but
    i just want to try it and keep it for a spare motor..

    what kind of plow motor ? some are ava most wont bother with it some starter alt rebuilding shops will have brushes also .

    its a older mm
    i took it apart but the brush leads are spot welded to the pos stud and
    to the magnet. i'd have to cut and solder the leads not sure if its worth it...:salute:
