Removing plow from frame

    I have a C-8 plow and this summer i want to take just the plow off sand it down and repaint it. How do I take the plow off?

    remove the pivot pins and the plow will separate from the rest of the parts.

    Just bang them out with a hammer and punch?

    that may work, but i usually use an air chisel.

    back off and remove the springs first

    did you get it apart yet? If not, you might need a torch. Heat the pins up cherry hot. That usually helps the stubborn pins. Mine were rusted fast and were a PITA to get out. They came eventually.
