I came across a full set up for my truck for $800, in pretty good condition. I don't really know to much about these older cable operated plows though. How reliable are they?

if it is in good shape(the power unit) they can be bullet proof. if it is in poor shape they can be a handfull. properly adjusted with new cables it could last another 20 years. its older than that now.

I am still running mine from 1991. It was rebuilt about 6 years ago. I replaced the cables for the first time last year. Once it is adjusted and maintained, there should be no problems.

It was on a 1977 f250, mine is a 1996. Will the truck side frame bolt up to my truck?
