I am going to look at a used stainless v spreader. Don't know anything about it; not even the brand. What are some things I should be sure to ask about or check out that someone who has never owned one might not realize?

Check out the engine, has it been serviced, oil change, does it start easy. How stretched is the drag chain, has it been oiled, and cleaned. All bearings, and is spinner shaft straight. ASside from that that is about it.
