Can you put a e57 motor on an e 47 and is there any benefit?

You can if you also change the gear pump, but thats the only way...and the only major difference between the 47 and the 57.

Speed would be the #1 benefit. The 57 pump and motor will your lifting speed. And also the E47 components are becoming obsolete.

Its definitely a worthwhile upgrade if you look at your time as money.

I wouldn't do it. The parts for and E47 are very easy to find. If your E47 is working or even if you need a new motor (most come with a 1year warr.) Why spend the extra money. You have been working with the E47 for how many years? There isn't that much of a difference between a E47 & E57 in my opion.
