Question about Majic Salt..

    I got a call today (8-29-06) from the main distributor who's looking for someone new in the area.Any info good or bad.

    Just go into it knowing what will be expected of you as far as setup and ongoing commitments. Make an appointment to sit down with your distributor and discuss the contract. Make this a business - not a "get rich quick" idea.

    Be aware that the demand for Magic tends to be sluggish because folks compare its price to white salt, not realizing that it is an apples and oranges comparison.

    Mick is correct. See what they want by way of a committment, and determine if you are up to it, both physically and financially. Storage may be an issue, you'll have to have some equipment to move the product (in various forms) and you'll need to have the business systems set up to manage the transactions, track the sales, pay the taxes, etc.

    The margins on this stuff are not particularly great once you calculate the full costs of the above.
