I just bought this slightly used ProFlo2. It was in great condition with very little rust and everything worked except it had a bad conveyor roller bearing and missing spinner that had rotted off the shaft. The original owner ran sand/salt thru it and told me it only seen maybe 6-8 ton in the 2 seasons he used it. It then sat in his horse barn for 2 years then I bought it, about 2wks ago.

Instead of just replacing the bearing right away, I completely gutted the entire unit. Went thru it with a fine tooth comb top to bottom and inside out ( I'm just anil like that when I buy used stuff) I scraped, wire wheeled and grinded off all the rust and pealing powder coat, refinished with 2 coats of Rustoleum primer, 2 coats of Rustoleum Premium paint, undercoating, and 2 coats of Rustoleum clear coat.

The only thing I had to replace on this unit was the 1 bearing, belt tensioner idler pulley, and both idler bolts w/locking nuts that adjust the conveyor tension. The bearing was replaced with a higher quality bearing with a locking collar that also has set screw. I replaced the belt tensioner pulley with a steel one instead of the OEM plastic one. I also upgraded the conveyor guard plate to 10 gauge steel instead of the cheap thin OEM guard.

It does need a spinner. I have not yet looked for a replacement.

I have over 50hrs in this restore and took my time and made sure everything was looked over, cleaned, re-greased and repainted.

I bought it with a partial truck side mount, complete harness, variable speed controller.

Condition when I brought it home, that's the truck side mount you kind of see in the pic:

Nice job. She looks brand new. I wish I had the time to rehab some of the stuff in my shop. If you put 50 hours into that, then I have about 6 month of restoration to do on random stuff in my shop. I am jealous.

Disassembling takes a bit of time, especially when everything is rusted shut. The torch and various pullers became my best friends.

Thanks guys for the great comments! FF gets sprayed on all my equipment. It was a fun little project to do.

Wideout -- I only had to buy 1 bearing and the tensioner pulley so I just bought it at a local farm supply shop. They also fab'd the conveyor guard that I upgraded to 10ga plate. If you have any Q's on your tear down let me know, I'll be happy to help.

If you don't mind me asking how much did it set you back when you bought it?
