I changed the fluid in 8' HD last week and when I took the drain plug out there was quite a bit of pressure and fluid squirted everywhere. I've never had this happen to me before on other plows. The plow works as it should with no glitches. Is this normal or is there an issue?

Yep normal. DD plows use a 5 psi vent on the system.
What usually helps is to remove the level plug first to relieve it.

Thanks for the info. Now that I think about it I have always took the top plug out first. I don't know why I didn't do that this time.
