    my friend has a 83 k-10 and everymoring for the past couple of days it has been pretty cold and it takes a good 15min untill his engine gets warm but before that his truck no power no nothing it barley goes does anyone know what the problem is here?

    Thats a carbed engine and it is too lean on choke most likely. Also check to make sure the preheater hose from exhaust manifold is hooked up and working and also make sure his heat riser butterfy valve in exhaust system (usually on passanger side exhaust manifold) is working properly as it forces hot exhaust gas through a chamber in bottom of intake and it warms up the intake air to better vaporize mixture. If you have dual exhaust on no "butterfly valve" with a carb your engine can really run bad and gutless until warmed up good.
