Yeah I have two duramax's an 03' 2500 and a 05' 3500 with the Edge tuner chip, they have had no problems. They both can push a ton of snow.

I run NO tuner and have NO issues, just thought I'd add my two cents.

    Maybe I'll get one later..........:D

2 buddies of mine run Edge tuners in their trucks plowing with no issues so far- both D-Max's- one '03, and one '05

One year I ran a ******* stack maxed out on one of my plow trucks. It was sweeeet. Especially heavy snows scooping massive piles across the lots pouring soot everywhere.

I have Edge and turn mine down to stock. We always have ice under our snow and the stock power level spins the tires too easy already.

I have plowed for years with:

    Edge Boxes
Edge Boxes stacked with Hypertech Boxes
Edge Boxes stacked with Predator Boxes
    EFI Live with tow tunes
    EFI Live with 500hp tunes
Come to think of it, I have never plowed with one of my trucks being stock!

How can you tell what your fuel economy even is?

This is how we have fun running cleanup!

I would suggest everyone run a mild tune while plowing. Diesel trucks benefit from the advanced timing they offer, which gives you better fuel mileage, and cooler EGT. I don't have a GM, but EFI is their Holy Grail of tuners.

I always have my Banks Power PDA on level 4, no problems. I dont look at fuel mileage, I bought the truck to work and get the job done, as long as it does that, we're good!
