plowin with a 2wd

    ok i know lots of people ask this but o well ok we are thinking about putting a 7.5 meyer on a chevy 1 ton dump truck and puttin a tailgate spreader but i heard they were not so good or to put a hopper stlye spreader do u think we well be fine we live in clevelan up north so let me no what u think thanks

    You're right. The subject of 2wd has been asked many times, actually just today: http://www.plowsite.com/showthread.php?t=23328

    You could also "search" the subject of 2wd. Boils down to "Yes, you could. But you could also get stuck." Not a good idea if you have hills or other inclines. Better for lots; not so good for driveways.

    But basically, do what you want to do.

    if your absolutly set on it use a hopper spreader and buy chains- you'll need em.
