:realmad: Everytime it snows either the truck or the plow break, its like their scared of snow! This time its the plow. I got in the truck the other day to drive to the store and just fot sh*ts and giggles i checked the plow controls. Much to my dismay the damn thing turns right but not left. It used to work properly (when there was no snow.) So now im kinda stuck. It still goes up, down, and turns right. Ive still managed to plow my accounts without having to turn the plow left, it would just be easier to have full control over the directions of the plow. Please help. Any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated. The whole set up is meyer. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person but im willing to try to fix whatever needs to be fixed.

Bad solenoid. Probably a C-Coil on the pump.

Check connections first on your C coil "Green" if OK replace. Mine did that last year.

If you have an electric controler, cheek the conection. When mine dies it's the plug that coming loose.

Check magnetivity of the C coil (green wired coil). Mine recently did the same thing, followed the directions in the service manual (btw, if you don't have the meyer service manual download it from their site it's very helpful), and it told me check for magnetism. The c-coil wasn't magnetized and therefore it was broken. Put a new c coil on and it now works. Really it's these coils that are 90% of the time the cause of problems on these meyer pumps.

While the title of the thread is that the plow will not turn left (meaning it will turn right) then the "C" coil has to be working properly as he got it to turn right. The only issue would be if power is somehow sent to the "C" coil by mistake when hitting the left turn control. Left turn is the default action if the motor alone is running-no power to any solenoids on the pump.

The "C" valve itself could be stuck as the fluid must travel through it even to turn left. The crossover valve could also be an issue. Either way, I believe you are looking a a mechanical problem more so than an electrical one.

This is probably "Old News" but the Meyer Service Manuals and Trouble Shooting guides are available free at

    http://meyerproducts.com/service/parts_service.asp

These manuals are my bible when fielding service calls in the Winter months.

    Hope this helps,
